Oolong Sampler

Our Oolong Sampler is the perfect way to taste each of our oolong teas before ordering more of your favorites. Each tea sample is enough for five to eight cups, so this set of velvety Dong Ding, decadent Milk Oolong, robust Red Robe and sweet Jasmine Pearl is enough for 20 to 32 cups of tea. Try each brew a handful of times on your own, or invite a few friends over for a tasting party.

Each oolong variety in this sampler set is individually packaged in an airtight foil package within an attractive theputiTea box.

Tea to Water Ratio 1:1. If you prefer a stronger flavor, use up to two grams of tea for each cup of water.

Water: Filtered water is best. 180ºF (simmering with tiny bubbles)

Traditional Steeping: 3 to 4 minutes

Flash Steeping: First, we run warm water over the tealeaves and pour it off very quickly. This removes any impurities and “awakens” the tealeaves for brewing. Then, we steep the tea – 15 to 35 seconds.

Why choose!?

I LOVE Oolong teas, but I wasn't familiar with three of the varieties you sold. On my first order, I went sampler crazy - Oolong, White and Specialteas. The fruit teas are not my style, though they are delicious (and are a nice kick if you blend a little with some other teas - I hope that's not blasphemous). The Whites are amazing too, especially the Silver Needle. \ But I am addicted to the Oolongs. I'm on my second cup of the day... my usual daily is five to six cups. The sampler is great because I get to mix it up during the week! Red Robe is my favorite, so I reserve it for those rough days at the office, and the Ti Kuan Yin has a certain boldness to it that makes it great for those busy, run-around type days.\ The samples can be stretched to more than a few cups and will last a while if you make more at a time - I get way more than 8 cups from each!\ I'm about to order another sampler now - well, as soon as my pot of Red Robe finishes steeping =)
