Dragonwell

Also known as “Dragon Well,” “Long Jing,” “Longjing” or “Lung Ching,” Dragonwell is one of the most prized and popular green teas of China. Its uniquely flat shape and rich, nutty flavor are a result of its unusual processing – a labor-intensive method involving pan-firing the leaves by hand. The infusion has a full, soft mouthfeel and a complex, nutty flavor that’s easy to enjoy again and again. Its distinctively sweet, clean, roasty finish appeals to a range of tea drinkers. Try our Dragonwell green tea with savory foods, like Vietnamese duck soup or steamed vegetables with brown rice and tamari. Delicious!

Tea to Water Ratio 1:1. If you prefer a stronger flavor, use up to two grams of tea for each cup of water.

Water: Filtered water is best. 180ºF (simmering with tiny bubbles)

Traditional Steeping: 1 to 3 minutes

Flash Steeping: First, we run warm water over the tealeaves and pour it off very quickly. This removes any impurities and “awakens” the tealeaves for brewing. Then, we steep the tea – 10 to 25 seconds.
